Data security is extremely important to us. We understand that our customers often upload very sensitive and/or NDA-protected data to MecMap. For these cases we have invented the so-called "confidential private RfQ"!
When you advertise a part, in the paragraph called "Group of RfQ" select the option "confidential private RfQ (visible ONLY for invited suppliers)". If this private variant is selected, the preferred suppliers must be selected from the favorites list or directly by entering their e-mail address. Only these suppliers see this advertisement, for all others the advertisement is invisible. The invited suppliers automatically receive a personalised email from MecMap with an invitation to bid on these parts.
This allows you to control the distribution of your sensitive data! Of course you won't reach any new potential suppliers with a private RfQ, so this option should preferably only be used for "Core Technology" parts and/or parts protected by NDA.
